PHILLIPS — A man was arrested after he was accused of threatening to shoot a Phillips man Tuesday night.
Franklin County sheriff’s Deputy Brian McCormick arrested Tyler Thorndike, 25, of Phillips on a misdemeanor charge of terrorizing and was placed on a probation hold by a probation officer Troy Sterry.
McCormick responded at 9:07 p.m. to a Ross Street residence regarding a report of a disturbance.
The resident said that “Tyler Thorndike and a second man came to his house very agitated and threatened to shoot him,” according to information provided by Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr.
The resident was able to to record the event and said he was in fear of his life, Nichols wrote.
McCormick found Thonrdike at his residence on Sayer Street in Phillips. After conducting an interview with him, Thorndike was arrested.
Thorndike continued to be held on the probation hold Friday at the Franklin County Detention in Farmington.
