David Joseph LePage

SCARBOROUGH – David Joseph LePage, 76, of Greene, died after a brief illness on Jan. 13, 2025 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

David was born Feb. 8, 1948 in Lewiston to Noel “Monk” LePage and Pricilla (Frechette) LePage. A 1966 graduate of Lewiston High School, he enjoyed a 25-year career with HE Callahan.

David was a long time member of the Kora Temple, Kora Arab Patrol, Rabboni Lodge in Lewiston, and never met a dog he didn’t love (and they all loved him right back). He was a devoted member of the senior community in the area including the New Auburn, First Auburn and Robin Down Senior Citizens groups, and greatly enjoyed spending time with this robust group of elders.

David greatly enjoyed camping at the Durham KOA and at Paradise Park in Old Orchard, as well as boating at Great Island and Robinhood Marina. He enjoyed playing Bingo and going on trips with the Auburn Recreation Department. David also generally enjoyed traveling, including time in Hawaii, Alaska, Aruba, Bermuda, and France.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol; daughter, Kerry, daughter-in-law, Betsy; granddaughter, Harper; brother, Danny, and sister-in-law, Patty.

David will be missed by many, and would remind us all to ‘pull down your pants and slide on the ice’, right before sneaking some treats to the dogs and cracking open an ice cold coke.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 8, at the Auburn Senior Community Center, 48 Pettengill Park, Auburn.

Arrangements are under the care of Albert & Burpee Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 253 Pine St., Lewiston, 782-7201.

Condolences may be shared on David’s memorial page at http://www.albert-burpee.com

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society via their website or to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
