DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Edward Little High School Class of 1958 is planning its 65th-year reunion on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn. It will be held from noon until 4 p.m.

We have had some invitations returned in the mail as “undeliverable” and are hoping that some readers might know how to reach our classmates who have moved since our 60th-year reunion.

The classmates whose addresses we are looking for are: Lorraine Caron Obie, Lloyd Cohen, Annette Lukaszewicz LeHouillier, Marlene O’Leary, Gloria Ann Godbout, Lawrence McGibbon, Elizabeth Pray McCrellis, Joyce Snowman Tripp, Dale Dickenson, Malcom Gary, Richard L. Bean and Deanna Doody Hardiman.

If anyone can help, or for information about our reunion, please contact Dee at dcrowleynoel@roadrunner.com or call 783-4322.

Thank you, Ms. Sun Spots, for all you do to help our community. — No name, no town

ANSWER: Wouldn’t it be wonderful to get all your classmates rounded up and in one place? Readers, if there’s anything you can do to help, please do.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m writing to thank you for putting in our request for items for our yard sale at the Anglican Church of the Transfiguration. Thanks to the donations received, we had a very successful sale during the Mechanic Falls Community Day.

We had so many things left over, we decided to continue the sale this past weekend which proved to be just as successful.

We have set aside the remainder of the donations for the Poland High School Project Graduation 2024 for their yard sale on Aug. 19 at the Poland Community School. Thank you to all the people from the area who donated to our yard sale. Your generosity was overwhelming. — Nancy, Mechanic Falls

ANSWER: The yard sale fundraiser that Nancy speaks of was held on Aug. 5. I’m so happy all went well and that it helped to promote it in Sun Spots. Our readers tend to be generous with donations and with attending these events.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thank you for all the great information you supplied for my trans friend. I printed it all out and passed it on to her.

You helped me feel less helpless and hopefully this will give her a place to start in improving her life. Bless you and thank you again. — No name, no town

ANSWER: You are so welcome. My heart goes out to both of you. I have trans friends, too, so I have empathy for you both. Your friend is blessed to have you in her life. I do hope that her situation improves and that you will let us know how she’s doing in the future.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Sunday comics have ceased to be comical or funny in recent months. I still scan them hoping I’ll be wrong. I have thoroughly enjoyed “Calvin and Hobbs” and “The Far Side” and still do. They usually are very funny. Is it just me or do other readers feel the same? — Cal, Litchfield

ANSWER: Readers, have you noticed that the comics are losing their appeal?
