To the Editor:
Rightstart’s Christmas for Kids and Christmas for Teens would like to thank WOXO Country and Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce for the very successful Radiothon to benefit Christmas for Kids and Christmas for Teens on Thursday, November 18. This was a wonderful way to begin our Christmas efforts for 2021. Stan and Heidi kicked off the Radiothon at 6 a.m. along with John Williams from the Chamber and Alison taking the calls. They worked all day and were entertaining and successful throughout. Many other individuals were on hand to encourage and entertain. The Radiothon concluded at 6 p.m. They outdid last year’s donations.
Individuals and families offered so much to our effort. We enjoyed hearing Heidi interview the folks who appeared at WOXO radio station with donations in hand. Such a wonderful response to the needs of our community.
Our support came from many businesses as well as individuals and families. Among the many businesses were Norway Savings Bank, Dead River Company, Rowe Credit, Rowe Auburn/Rowe Westbrook, Twin Town Homes, Patriot Subaru, Speedway Inc., Stephens Memorial Hospital, Oxford Federal Credit Union, Morse Logging, Rolfe Corporation, Wheelers Insurance, Bitcoin of Maine, Lakeside Norway, AARP, Napa Coastal Auto Parts and Androscoggin Bank.
What a wonderful community we have!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
