BIDDEFORD — Cole Ouellette outraced teammate Joshua Sanchez to a hat trick, with both contributing three goals and an assist to the runaway scoring total for the Lewiston/Auburn Nordiques, who dominated the in-state rival Maine Wild 11-0 on Sunday at Biddeford Ice Arena.

Ouellette got the scoring started for the Nordiques 4:19 into the game, and Sanchez finished it with 2:18 left in the third period. Joe Bisson scored twice, and Andrew McCormick, Armand O’Keefe and Nicolas Lusignan also lit the lamp for L/A.

JP Chauvin led the assists effort, with four. Sergei Anisimov, Zack Mullen and Sam Frechette each tallied three, Colby Audette and Joshua Malone two, and Ouellete, Sanchez, Bisson and Donovan Teahan all added one. All but one of the 15 skaters produced a point.

Hunter Raye earned the shutout in goal for the Nordiques by making eight saves. Former Edward Little goalie Ben Feldman stopped 52 of 63 shots he faced for the Wild.

The two teams will meet again Wednesday in Lewiston for the first of three games to determine the inaugural winner of The Maine Cup.
