The North American Hockey League announced the 2023-24 schedule this week and the Maine Nordiques season opener is at home Sept. 8. Also, a longtime Colisee employee is back in his old role and a former Twin City Thunder Futures Draft pick goes in the first round of NHL Draft.

Maine Nordiques 16U defenseman Leo Mantenuto and Freeport's Axel Favreau were two of the Thunder's 20 selections in the USPHL NCDC entry draft.

Junior hockey: Cam Robichaud leaves Thunder to become New Hampshire Mountain Kings head coach
After three seasons with Twin City, Robichaud returns to the NAHL to lead expansion team. Robichaud sold his stake in the Thunder to Dan Hodge, who becomes the sole owner of the organization.
