MONMOUTH — Trevor Flanagan had three singles to help lead Monmouth to a 6-4 victory over Dirigo in a Mountain Valley Conference baseball contest.
He had an RBI single in the bottom of the first and fifth while recording a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
Brad Neal had two singles in the victory for the Mustangs (12-4).
Cam Turner and Chase Thebarge each had two hits for the Cougars (6-10). Dirigo had a three run third inning on a couple of errors. Each team had eight hits and four errors in the contest.
Oak Hill 6, Mtn. Valley 3
RUMFORD — Colby Webster threw 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win and Caleb Valliere belted a three-run homer as Oak Hill rallied to defeat Mountain Valley, 6-3.
Dylan Desroches’ solo home run helped the Falcons (11-4) build a 3-0 lead in the third inning. But 11 walks and five hit batsmen by Mountain Valley pitching helped the Raiders (6-10) come roaring back with four runs in the fourth and two in the seventh.
Softball
Oak Hill 14, Mtn. Valley 2
RUMFORD — Mikayla Buckmore led Oak Hill’s 18-hit attack with two doubles as the Raiders blitzed Mountain Valley, 14-2, in a Mountain Valley Conference softball game.
Molly Flaherty belted two singles and a double for the Raiders, while Kiera Young chipped in with a double and triple. Kiera Young (double, triple), Abby Nadeau and Kaitlyn Ridley also had two hits apiece.
Saydie Garbarini led the Falcons with a double and a single, while Kendall Petrie added two singles.
