LEWISTON — Kay Allison is the featured artist for November and December at Wicked Illustrations Studio and Art Gallery, 140 Canal St.

Allison is a mosaic and fused glass artist. She created her first fused glass landscape at the Maine Art Glass Studio in Lisbon.

She started her own business in 2006, called the Mosaic Sea. On display are more than 35 pieces in various price ranges, depicting underwater scenes, landscapes, animals and trees. She has also been an art teacher in Lewiston for the past 36 years and serves on the board of directors for the Maine Art Education Association.

She enjoys layering and melting the glass in the kiln, and is inspired by the colors, swirls and visions in the glass.

The exhibit is free and open to the public.
