Promising newcomers: Freshmen — Natalie Brooks OF, Celia Philbrick OF/C, Haley Morrill OF; Eighth grade: Natasha Haley P/3B.

Season outlook: The Lakers are relatively young with Letarte as the lone senior, but Rangeley has a number of returning players that have played at the varsity level and are improving. Esty and Morin are experienced pitchers and the Lakers have some seasoned players in the infield. They’ll have some new talent in bigger roles but Rangeley should be challenging for a spot in the Western D tourney field.
