LEWISTON — Robert J. Scribner, 82, of Oxford passed Monday, Aug. 20, at Marshwood Center.

He was born Nov. 17, 1929, to Walter A. and Florence M. Scribner.

He was a member of Tyrian Lodge of Mechanic Falls for 50-plus years. He enjoyed sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots.

He first worked in his family farming business, then as a mill worker for Robinson Manufacturing for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Russell Park Manor in Lewiston; son and wife and granddaughter of Auburn; sisters, Lois of Gorham, and Kate of Norway; and nieces and nephews, who loved their “Uncle Bobby.”

He was predeceased by both parents; sisters, Verna, Marion, Bernice and Barbara; and brothers, Alfred and Milton.
