Fred Harris, age 14, of Auburn and Lemuel Wilson, age 56, of Orr’s Island were brought to C.M.G. hospital Monday forenoon from the grounds where the Barnum & Bailey circus will show Monday afternoon and evening. They had been run over by a runaway team and grave fears were held at first, but it was found that neither had been seriously injured. The man and boy were walking on the sidewalk that leads up Ash Street past the circus grounds as were hundreds of others. A horse, which it is understood did not belong to the circus, became frightened and started for the sidewalk and people hurried out of the way. The man suffered a broken clavicle and was bruised to some extent. Young Harris was hurt about the legs, tho not badly.
