WALES — Robert (Bob) Joseph Scattoloni, of Wales, died suddenly at his home on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Robert was born in Springfield, Mass., son of Joseph and Antoinette, on Dec. 1, 1934. He was 76 years old. Bob was a veteran of the Korean War and served on the U.S.S. Intrepid as a weatherman.

His favorite passions included boat building, antique cars, well-crafted tools and he was an avid reader of history. Bob was a master draftsman and enjoyed wood carving. Restoring the 1802 cape-style home he lived in with his wife was one of his life-long dreams and pursuits, and spoke to the fulfillment and joy he received from being involved in excellent craftsmanship.

Bob is survived by his wife of many years, Margaret Scattoloni; and his children, Camille, Anna, Victoria, Gianina, Mary, Andrea, America and Sabatino. He is also survived by one brother, Tom; one sister, Joanne; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
