SOUTH PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club of South Paris will have its former club caller, John Thompson of Waterford, call the dance on Saturday, Nov. 13.

Thompson will call a mainstream/plus dance. He is retiring from being a square dance caller after 46 years and 5,000 dances of calling. The round dancing will be cued by Bernie Porter.

Dancing will be from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street. Hosts for the evening will be Bob and Eleanor Herrick of Auburn and Fred and Nancy Engdahl of Waterford. There will be door prizes and pot of gold drawing.
