WELD — A camper being moved out of Dummer Beach camp area was destroyed by fire Friday, Weld fire Chief Wallis Tyler said.

When firefighters arrived, it was fully engulfed.  Both a gas tank and a propane tank exploded but no one was injured. The cause was not known.

The camper was away from other structures, Tyler said. He said he did not know who owned it.

The call came in at 3 p.m. and the fire was out by 3:30 p.m. Carthage and Wilton fire departments were called to help, but were canceled later, he said.
