A preliminary investigation has determined the pickup was traveling too fast Friday when the 18-year-old driver lost control and the truck veered off Dudley Brook Road, according to the Somerset County Sheriff's Office.

St. Albans man pleads guilty on child sexual assault charge
Somerset County Sheriff Dale Lancaster said that Ashton McKenney, 22, pleaded guilty this week to three charges, including sexual abuse of a minor, and will serve nine months at the Somerset County Jail in East Madison.

Police: Mother, 24, dies in one-car crash in St. Albans
Chelsey Roy of St. Albans is believed to have died on impact, according to police. Her 3-year-old son, who was in the back seat, was taken to Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield, where he was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.

Eric Caswell, 41, of Oakland and Tarik Squire, 37, of Bronx, New York, were arrested Jan. 2 by Augusta police and Maine Drug Enforcement agents, who were waiting for them at the Super 8 motel in Augusta.
