Some 2-4 inches of rainfall in about 6 hours was expected Saturday evening for the area, according to National Weather Service. The flash flood warning, on the heels of a much wider flood watch earlier in the day, came after nearly 5 inches of rainfall Tuesday.

A flash flood warning went out to those in the Lewiston and Auburn region Tuesday evening. According to National Weather Service, some 2 to 4 inches of rain was expected and the warning is in place until 9:30 p.m.
