Sagadahoc County Sheriff Joel Merry said 35-year-old Chad Cornish was exchanging text messages with a 13-year-old girl but found police instead when he tried to meet her after school Friday.

After Cyrus Lavars, 25, of Lisbon Falls — known as "Uncle Cy" — died Sept. 27 from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident, more than 50 of his family members and friends rallied to help construct a casket in early October out of a large pine tree.
