Court documents detail wild robbery attempt in York

Three men from Massachusetts have been charged with federal crimes in connection with the May robbery attempt at a home near The Ledges Golf Club.

Shawna Gatto was found guilty in April of murdering 4-year-old Kendall Chick and was sentenced in June to 50 years in prison.

Quinton Spinks, 35, faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine, according to U.S. Attorney Halsey Frank.

Christopher T. Hall is serving 20 years for injuring a woman with a stun gun during a botched kidnapping attempt in 2015.

Westbrook police say the men broke into a shed on Bridge Street and stole property belonging to the Westbrook Little League.

Nicholas W. Honas, 38, of Hallowell was arrested after a woman asked restaurant workers to contact police.

The victim, whom authorities have not identified, suffered life-threatening injuries, and the investigation is ongoing, the FBI says.

After hearing a gunshot in the wooded area behind Robinson Gardens, police said they found a body with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Everett H. Meserve, 62, is being held on $50,000 cash bail.

One man was injured in the incident, and the FBI says there is a ‘very active investigation’ into the shooting.
