Wife can’t convey uncertainty of pregnancy to husband
DEAR ABBY: My husband and I have been together for eight years, married for two. We recently started discussing having a family. I have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and it may be difficult for me to get pregnant. I suffered a miscarriage earlier this year. Until it happened, I didn’t realize how badly I wanted […]

What’s the source of cracking sound in ear?
DEAR DR. ROACH: About two or three months ago, I got a cracking sound in my right ear, and it hurts off and on. This happens several times a day, both day and night. I saw my doctor, who said it was nothing. He told me to take Sudafed two times every 24 hours. It […]

Woman continues to hide ex’s double life
DEAR ABBY: I broke up with my boyfriend a few months ago, but I’m still having a difficult time getting over him. I discovered he was responding to sexual messages from men and sending them pictures of himself, including his body parts. I feel this is the biggest betrayal any woman could experience, and keeping […]

Coconut oil in coffee can have mixed results on cholesterol
DEAR DR. ROACH: I’ve started using coconut oil instead of milk and sweetener in my coffee. I find that a quarter teaspoon of coconut oil blended with 12 ounces coffee is pretty yummy. But I want to make sure I’m not doing any harm, since my own LDL has risen and my HDL has fallen […]

What’s your take on this subject? — R.S. ANSWER: Medicine has made incremental benefits on many fronts. […]

Man still depends on ex-wife for everyday needs
DEAR ABBY: I have been with my boyfriend, “John,” for a year and a half. He had been divorced for two years after a 20-year marriage when we got together. He told me he and his ex, “Jessica,” were still good friends. I thought it was OK since they were co-parenting their kid. I have […]

Long-held family secret continues to be hidden
DEAR ABBY: I have a half-sister who is 14 years younger, and there is a sensitive genealogical matter I have never shared with her. Her “father” married our mother while she was pregnant with another man’s child. That man lied to her about being single and wanting to marry her. My stepfather came on the […]

Single woman fears she may never be a wife and mother
DEAR ABBY: I am a 31-year-old woman who has been in many relationships since high school. No engagements, however, although four of the men mentioned they wanted to marry me. I lived with three of them. I’m a former model, have almost completed my second master’s degree and hold a steady government job. I don’t […]
