I’m writing in response to V. Paul Reynolds’ outdoor column in the Sunday, Nov. 15, newspaper: “A gut feeling that hunters won’t buy new guidelines.” He mentioned that the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife thought it might be a good idea that, after a deer is shot, the hunter should remove the gut […]

Patricia Bernard: No freebies with Biden
Assuming the electoral college votes Biden in, globalization means some invisible cartel will control our decisions. Biden is rejoining the Paris accord; its biggest problem is that the United States will be paying a disproportionate amount. The Chinese, Europeans and others are glad we suckers are back to pay more than we should for programs […]

Gil Arsenault: How to make America great again
Trump has lied to Americans regarding the Nov. 3 election, and has convinced many that our election process has been compromised, despite a lack of evidence to support this claim. Remember, Trump attempted to undermine the U.S. Postal Service prior to the election as he anticipated that many voters, especially Democrats, would vote via absentee […]

Rudolph Ziehm: Trump has got to go
Will history remember Trump as the “Plague President” for the way he has promoted COVID-19 by ignoring it? And spreading it more than anyone? Perhaps he will go down as the “Crybaby President” for whining about how he was cheated by a fair election. He’s got to go, as soon as possible. What his fans […]
