MEXICO — A 21-year-old Mexico man was arrested at 11:48 p.m. Wednesday at a Dix Avenue residence and charged with domestic assault.

Brown Street resident Troy Blanchard was charged in connection with an incident reported at 9 a.m. March 4, police Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said. Blanchard has two prior convictions for assault, he said.

Hodsdon said Blanchard was taken to the Mexico Police Department where he was unable to post the $800 cash bail. He was then taken to the Oxford County Jail in Paris.

Blanchard is scheduled to appear in Oxford County Superior Court in Paris on April 15.
