NORTH ANSON — Levi Tibbetts threw a no-hitter as Lisbon took an 11-0, five-inning MVC baseball win over host Carrebec on Wednesday.
Lisbon (9-2) scored eight runs in the top of the fifth inning to break open the game. Carrabec is 1-8.
DIRIGO 9, HALL-DALE 7: Seniors Dallas Berry, Derek Ducharme and Cole Brown each had three hits and the Cougars scored two runs in the top of the seventh to edge the Bulldogs at Farmingdale.
Sophomores Trenton Hutchinson and Dakota Tompkins combined to scatter six hits on the mound for Dirigo, with Hutchinson earning the win and Tompkins pitching the bottom of the seventh. Brown and Tompkins hit doubles and Hutchinson added a triple.
Drake Bickford, Max Byron and Sam Sheaffer all hit doubles for Hall-Dale, which had rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game.
LEAVITT 3, GARDINER 2: The Hornets scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to secure a walk-off victory in Turner.
Leavitt (6-8) tied the game on a fielder’s choice and Wyatt Hathaway scored the winning run with a single.
Gardiner (5-8) had taken a 2-1 lead in the top of the seventh.
Garrett Mollica went the distance for the win and Andrew Kelley was saddled with the loss.
LEWISTON 5, MT. ARARAT 1: Josh Murphy pitched a complete-game two-hitter, striking out nine as the Blue Devils (10-3) beat the Eagles (4-8) at Topsham.
Murphy also had four hits, including a solo home run in the sixth inning. His catcher, Keegan McLaughlin, had a double and a two-RBI single in the win. Tanner Anctil also had two hits for Lewiston.
Shea Farrell had both hits for Mt. Ararat and starter Ryan Robertson scored the only Eagles’ run in the fourth inning by stealing home.
WELLS 2, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 1: Chase Trudeau’s RBI single – the only hit for Wells – capped a two-run rally in the bottom of the fifth inning as the Warriors prevailed in Wells.
Both starting pitchers – Cam Armstrong of Monmouth (10-3) and Owen Coggeshall of Wells (8-5) – took a no-hitter into the fifth. Monmouth went ahead in the top of the fifth on singles by Isaac Oliviera and Owen Harding and a fielder’s choice grounder by Sam Calder.
In the bottom half, Wells capitalized on two errors to score the go-ahead run before Trudeau’s single made it 2-1.
Hayden Barker relieved Coggeshall in the sixth and retired all six batters he faced to earn a save.
Armstrong finished with eight strikeouts.
YARMOUTH 3, POLAND 2: Jack Mcgrath had a single to drive in Will Cox with one out in the bottom of the seventh and then Gibby Sullivan lined an RBI single as the Clippers (12-3) walked off against the Knights (6-8) at Yarmouth.
Dylan Sellinger had a sacrifice fly for Poland to break a 1-1 tie in the top of the sixth.
Sullivan had a pair of hits for Yarmouth, along with Cox and Matt Robichaud.
SOFTBALL
POLAND 18, YARMOUTH 2: Kaylin O’Leary hit a home run and a double and Khloe O’Leary added a double and two RBI as the Knights (7-4) beat the Clippers (1-11) at Yarmouth.
Atlantis Martin struck out five for the win.
Yarmouth’s Lucia Jordan struck out six in the loss.
HALL-DALE 13, DIRIGO 2: Zoey Soule and Lilly Platt each had three hits, including doubles, and the Bulldogs used a six-run third to take control against the Cougars at Dixfield.
Sara Benner added two hits and Amanda Trepanier hit a triple for Hall-Dale. Rita Benoit scattered three hits in a complete-game win.
Kailey Hackett and Marissa LaPointe hit doubles for Dirigo.
MADISON 13, BUCKFIELD 0: Brooke McKenney pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts and at the plate she had three hits, including two doubles, to lead the Bulldogs (12-1) past the Bucks (5-5) at Buckfield.
Lilian Levesque had three singles in the win.
Kayden Haylock had the lone hit for the Bucks.
TELSTAR 5, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 2: Natasha Mason went the distance for the Rebels, striking out four in the win over the Falcons in Bethel.
Mason’s three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth provided the margin of victory. Macie Hallett, Sarah Chase, Payton Berry, Jordan Berry and Brooklyn Kimball had a hit for the Rebels.
Mountain Valley had hits by Alison Legere, Emma Clukey and Mallorie Bourret.
