GORHAM — Lauren Ratsep collected her own rebound after a one-timer on a feed from Marisa Zamrock and slipped it into the net with 1:08 to play in regulation, lifting St. Dom’s to a 3-2 win over Scarborough in a battle of the state’s top two girls’ hockey teams Monday.

Ratsep finished with a goal and an assist, as did Zamrock, who scored hers in the first period. Kayla McLellan added the other goal for the Saints (13-1-0), and Nicole Keaney stopped 19 of 21 shots to secure the victory.

Rachel Wallace and Abby Rutt scored goals for the Red Storm (10-2-2), and Devan Kane stopped 32 of the 35 shots she saw in taking the loss.

Basketball

Gray-NG 29, Poland 18

GRAY — Alicia Valente led all players with 10 points and Gray-New Gloucester drained four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to pull away from rival Poland 29-18 in a WMC girls’ basketball contest Monday.

Maggie Chaplin added nine and Meghan Dehetre hauled in 10 rebounds for the Patriots (6-6) , who outscored the Knights (2-10) in the final quarter 11-1 to blow open the game.

Freshman guard Emily Bolduc led Poland with eight points, including a trey, 12 rebounds and five steals.

Livermore Falls 58, Telstar 18

LIVERMORE FALLS — Every Livermore Falls player registered at least one basket Monday as the Andies rolled to a 58-18 win over Telstar in girls’ basketball action.

The MVC-leading Andies (12-1) got 11 points each from Kathryn Ventrella and Ladesta Tracey. Ventrella hit a pair of 3-pointers.

Emma Davis hit for a pair of treys of her own in leading the Rebels (0-13) with eight points from the field.

St. Dom’s 43, Lisbon 28

LISBON — Senior forward Allaina Murphy scored 21 points to lead St. Dom’s to a 43-28 victory over Lisbon in MVC girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Saints (7-6) converted from zone to man late in the fourth quarter to turn a closely contested matchup into a game-defining spurt before the final buzzer. Mary Caron pitched in with 12 points for St. Dom’s.

The Greyhounds’ (3-10) junior forward Alexa Harmon found the basket from the field on four occasions, all from 3-point range, to go along with a pair of free throws and a team-leading 14 points in the losing effort.

Hebron 45, Pine Tree 29

FREEPORT — Janelle Bradish drained an impressive 25 points to lead Hebron to a 45-29 victory over Pine Tree Academy in girls’ varsity basketball action Monday.

Olivia Brown contributed to the Lumberjacks’ offensive effort with three field goals, including one from 3-point range, for seven points.

Gentille Sandy paced Pine Tree with five baskets for a team-leading 10 points in the losing effort.

Dirigo 40, Madison 36

MADISON — Senior forward Hannah Knight tossed 22 points to lead Dirigo to a 40-36 triumph over Madison in MVC girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Bulldogs (6-7) led 24-20 at the half, but Dirigo adjusted their game-play to a half court trap in the second half. Sophomore guard Sam Bruce recorded a team-high 18 points for Madison.

The Cougars (10-3) pressed hard in the third quarter, creating problems for Madison and secured a 12-4 run to take a four-point lead into the final frame. Knight finished with a 10-of-16 performance from the free throw line for Dirigo.

Monmouth 57, Wiscasset 31

MONMOUTH — Kristine Kahl notched a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds as Monmouth coasted to a 57-31 victory over Wiscasset in girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Mustangs (4-8) galloped through the middle two frames, scoring 37 points along the way. Sierra Spencer and Kylie Kemp contributed nine points in a well-balanced offensive effort.

Kayla Connors led the Indians (1-11) with 10 points in the losing effort.

Mountain Valley 48, Carrabec 46

RUMFORD — Junior forward Ayla Allen helped Mountain Valley dodge the Cobras’ bite with 16 points, seven rebounds and five steals as the Falcons narrowly defeated Carrabec 48-46 in MVC girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Falcons (9-4) took a 19-14 lead at the midpoint.

Junior guard Melissa White and senior guard Becca Bergeron shared a team-high 11 points for the Cobras (4-9). Jocelyn Jackson chipped in with 10 points in the losing effort.

Morse 81, Lewiston 42

BATH — Senior forward Nikoline Ostergaard stimulated the Morse offense with 23 points as the Shipbuilders cruised to an 81-42 conquest over Lewiston in KVAC girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Shipbuilders (11-1) steamed through the third quarter with a 28-0 run, and Ostergaard sat out the fourth frame. Katie Henrikson pitched in with eight field goals, including four from 3-point range, and a pair of free throws for Morse.

Sophomore guard Emily Paione led a valiant effort by the Blue Devils (0-12) with four field goals, including two 3-pointers, for a team-leading 10 points in the losing effort.
