The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce is once again accepting applications for $1,000 scholarships to two deserving area residents.

The scholarships are awarded based on community involvement, scholastics and an essay. The Chamber scholarships are among the few scholarships available to “non-traditional” students as well as graduating seniors.

Deadline to apply is April 15. The Chamber hosts an annual Scholarship Golf Tournament with Seth Wescott to raise funds for area students. This year’s tournament will be held on September 13, 2011 at Sugarloaf’s world-class course with an after-party at The Rack.
