Incident Report Statistics
Between Friday, Dec. 10, at 7 a.m. and Friday, Dec. 17, at 7 a.m. the Lewiston Police Department responded to 643 calls for service. Of those calls, 139 were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal Mischief
Over the previous several months there has been an ongoing issue of someone shooting BB holes through the windows of the Bank of America building.
A vehicle parked at 28 Bradley St. had a tire slashed and a windshield smashed with a brick overnight Dec. 15-16.
Motor Vehicle Burglaries
A pickup truck parked at Sarah Jeanne’s at 77 Sabattus St. had a black Craftsman cordless drill set taken from the bed sometime overnight Dec. 7-8.
A vehicle parked at 76 High St. was burglarized prior to 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 10; medications were taken.
A vehicle parked at 182 Sabattus St. was burglarized on Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. The owner discovered a black or Hispanic male inside of the car who fled when he realized he had been spotted. He was described as 5 feet, 5 inches, 180 pounds, wearing a red puffy jacket.
On Dec. 15 at 2:17 a.m. a male and a female in a red Ford Escort stopped in front of 19 Highland Ave. and attempted to break into several cars along the street. One vehicle was entered and a Nintendo DS was taken.
Operating Under the Influence
Melissa Thomas, 23, was charged with operating under the influence and operating without a license on Dec. 12 at 12:33 a.m. at 1211 Sabattus St. following a citizen’s tip of an intoxicated driver.
Evan Clement, 21, was charged with operating under the influence on Dec. 15 at 1:22 a.m. at Bates and Spruce streets following a routine traffic stop.
Wanted
Andrew Hensler, 19, is wanted on a warrant failure to appear for disorderly conduct.
Nathan Covey, 25, is wanted on a warrant for unpaid fines for assault.
