DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine (AP) — A former barber charged with sexually assaulting two underage girls in his small-town barber shop has pleaded no contest.

The Bangor Daily News reports that 68-year-old Donald Denbow, of Shirley, entered his plea Monday in Piscataquis County Superior Court on 13 counts of gross sexual assault and one count of sexual abuse of a minor. He faces up to 30 years in prison on each count.

When police arrested Denbow last year, they discovered he wasn’t listed on the state’s sex offender registry, as required by law for a 1982 conviction of gross sexual assault. Denbow previously owned barber shops in Dover-Foxcroft and Greenville.
