HEBRON — Jock Cooperrider recorded the game-winning goal as Hebron clipped Gould 2-1 in boys’ soccer action Saturday.
Peter Quigley opened the scoring for Hebron 15 mintues into the first period when he shot a long, looping ball over goalie Antoine Dutil’s head.
Dutil had 14 saves for Gould, while Lonnie Taylor had a solid game in net, turning away save shots for the win.
Girls’ Soccer
Hebron 5, Gould 1
HEBRON — Sarah Markey and Kaitlyn Paiton provided a pair of goals each as Hebron coasted to a 5-1 victory over Gould in girls’ soccer action Saturday.
Markey put the Lumbejacks (6-1-2) up 3-1 on a direct kick into the corner of the net from 25-yard out with 10 minutes left in the first half.
Senior Kaitlyn Paiton scored the first of her two seocnd half goals when she received a nice pass from Emily Wyman, and the shot to the back post went in unimpeded.
Field hockey
Hebron 2, Kents Hill 0
KENTS HILL — Amber Aaskov notched the eventual game-winning goal as Hebron grabbed a 2-0 win over Kents Hill in field hockey action Saturday.
After a scoreless first half, Aaksov converted a relay from Haley Grimmer and found the back of the net for the Lumberjacks (3-4). Grimmer added a goal of her own six minutes later on a feed from Natalie Maciejewski.
Goalie Abby Bowie made nine saves for Kents Hill (3-2), while goalie Mariah Mosher made some key saves to earn the shutout for Hebron.
