LEWISTON — Calvary United Methodist Church will hold its monthly bean supper, at the church at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. Menu consists of beans, hot dogs, casseroles, including vegetarian casseroles, biscuits, brown bread, salads and pies.

Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children.

BOWDOIN — Woodland Cemetery Association will sponsor their annual smothered beef or roast turkey supper, Saturday, Oct. 19, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

The supper will be held at the West Bowdoin Parish Hall, 54 West Road.

Cost is $8.50 for adults, $4 for children under 12 and preschoolers are free.

POLAND — Excelsior Grange and the Busy Bees of Poland are sponsoring a Harvest Supper at the grange at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. Menu will be casseroles, baked beans, rolls, desserts, coffee and punch. There will be a pumpkin-judging contest at 4 p.m. Bring the biggest and most unusual pumpkins for judging before supper.

LEWISTON — Calvary United Methodist Church will hold their annual turkey supper and silent auction “fun”draising event on Saturday, Oct. 26.

This event helps our church continue its service to the community, including twice weekly meals and a warming center in the winter on Sundays.

Items are needed for this auction. A gift or gift certificate in any amount will be greatly appreciated and will allow us to continue to serve the community.
