PARIS — Residents in School Administrative District 17 are scheduled to vote Thursday on a $40.97 million budget for 2019-20.

It is $997,276 more than the current fiscal year, which ends June 30.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Forum. Voters will go through the warrant and have the opportunity to propose amendments.

Town clerks from Harrison, Hebron, Norway, Oxford, Otisfield, Paris, Waterford and West Paris will register their respective voters in the lobby of the Forum before the meeting.

As proposed, the budget shows increases in assessments for all eight towns: Harrison, $166,890; Hebron, $53,359; Norway, $223,181; Otisfield, $130,394; Oxford, $83,086; Paris, $189,668; Waterford, $131,155; and West Paris, $69,527.

The proposed budget includes a 13.33% increase in carryover funds — from $900,000 in 2018-19 to $1.02 million for 2019-20.

According to information provided by Superintendent Rick Colpitts to the board of directors last month, the state subsidy for SAD 17 has decreased from $18.11 million in 2018-19 to $17.94 million for 2019-20.

Total revenues for 2019-20 have increased by $997,276 from this fiscal year.

The Essential Programs and Services local allocation has been reduced by $583,840 and local debt has been reduced by $4,919.

Adult education remains at $216,911.

Additional Maine Vocational Region 11 funding has increased by $40,769, and additional local funds have increased by $1.6 million.

The total additional funds under local allocations have increased by $1.05 million.
