ANSWER: I cannot believe it’s been 50 years since 1969! How did that happen? Those were the days, don’t you agree?

DEAR SUN SPOTS: High Street Congregational Church is only a month away from our annual Fabric Fair on April 6.  We would like to thank all of those who have donated fabric and craft supplies for our fair and are looking forward to meeting those who have rented tables to sell their own items as well. We still have tables left for rent at only $20 each. For donations, we take yarn, fabric, scrapbooking and stamping supplies, needlework, craft tools, and sewing notions. We even take your half-finished items for our “Best Intentions” table. The church is located at 106 Pleasant St. in Auburn. Please contact me at 207-784-1306 or office@highstreet-ucc.org for more information.

— Rose, Auburn

ANSWER: I love the idea of a “best intentions” table. How many times have I started a craft project and never finished it? Too many!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for a stitch plate for my sewing machine, a Husqvarna Viking Quilters 21. I can be reached at 207-783-3676.

— Liane, no town

ANSWER: You may want to check out the High Street Congregational Church Craft Sale to see if they have that gizmo.  Check in with Cote Bros. Sewing Machines at 293 Auburn Road in Turner at 207-225-5920.

You may also find the part you need at husqvarnaviking.com. I found some here for various sewing machine models: https://tinyurl.com/y2zpef3k.

I do want to take a moment to remind our faithful readers that whenever you make a request for an item in Sun Spots, it is assumed that you’re willing to purchase it unless the item you’re seeking has negligible value.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have a set of the World Book Encyclopedia in excellent condition. They are free for the taking. I can be reached at 207-783-8984.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I watch the Boston Celtics basketball games and wondered what has happened to announcer Tommy Heinsohn.

— No name, no town

ANSWER: Heinsohn, age 84, was away for a while with a medical condition. It wasn’t serious and he should be back soon, if not already!
