HIRAM — Maine Attorney General Janet Mills was a special guest at a reception honoring Rep. Helen Rankin of Hiram held at the home of Madeleine and Maurice Bernaiche on Bull Ring Road on Aug. 22.

In her remarks, Mills praised Rankin for her dedication to her district and her reputation as a thoughtful legislator, who carefully studies all issues and who reflects a deep commitment and knowledge health and nutrition and education.

“Helen has worked on a daily basis with staff and students in the local schools, and brings that perspective to the Education Committee. When she speaks, people listen,” Mills said.

Rankin and Mills spent several hours following the reception visiting voters in Hiram at their doors. Information about Rankin, as well as the other candidates is available on Facebook.
