Ben Stratton of Manchester, a student at Maranacook Community Middle School in Readfield, stands with state Sen. Shenna Bellows, D-Manchester, in the Senate Chamber in Augusta. Stratton served as an honorary page, joining students representing the University of Maine Extension 4-H Youth Development Program. The honorary page program gives students an opportunity to participate in the Senate and interact with legislators, deliver messages and distribute amendments and supplements. Students from third grade through high school are invited to serve as honorary pages in the Senate Chamber.
