LIVERMORE FALLS — The cause of a fire Saturday that destroyed a mobile home and claimed the lives of two dogs is undetermined, Fire Rescue Chief Edward Hastings IV said Monday.

Megan Davis returned from work to find the home at 201 Pine Ridge Loop on fire, he said.

“She lost two dogs in the fire,” he said.

When firefighters arrived the mobile home was engulfed in flames.

The origin was the living room and there was a wood stove in that area but the cause is undetermined at this time.

“It does not appear to be suspicious,” Hastings said.

There was no insurance, he said.

Livermore Falls was assisted by departments from Jay, Livermore, Fayette, Wayne and Wilton.
