LISBON — Camera enthusiast and collector Steve Carlson of Lewiston will give a talk on cameras Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Lisbon Historical Society.
His presentation will begin at 7 p.m. in the meeting room at the MTM Center in Lisbon Falls. It is free and open to the public.
The talk, “Cameras, Unique in Design and Purpose,” will highlight cameras — pinhole to Polaroid and undercover to underwater — from 1936 to 1999. He has collected cameras and photographic items for more than 50 years. He is a former U.S. Navy photographer’s mate and has conducted basic photo courses as an adult education instructor.
The evening will also be the society’s annual Valentine’s Party. Those attending are invited to bring handmade valentines to exchange.
Refreshments will be served, and members are urged to bring valentine-themed foods.
Secretary/Treasurer Dorothy Smith will attend the meeting to provide membership status and accept dues.
