MEXICO — Classes will resume Tuesday at Mountain Valley Middle School, after losing water service Monday, according to officials.
The break in the 10-inch main only affected the school at 58 Highland Terrace. It was repaired shortly before 1 p.m., Mexico Water District Superintendent James White Sr. said Monday evening. The cause is unknown, he said.
Students were dismissed at 11:15 a.m. after the Water District notified the school about the incident, Matt Desroches of the Regional School Unit 10 Transportation Department said. After-school activities, games or practices were also canceled.
