AVON — A pickup truck driven by a local man went off River Road on Tuesday morning and rolled over near the Strong town line, according to Franklin County Sheriff Sgt. Matthew Brann.
William Trodden, 58, of Avon lost control of his 2004 Ford F-350 while driving north on the snow-covered road, according to Brann’s report to Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. The truck struck an embankment, rolled over onto the driver’s side and stopped in the middle of the road, Brann wrote.
Trodden was not injured.
“The cause of the crash is driving too fast for conditions,” Brann wrote.
There are no pending charges. Brann was assisted at the 11 a.m. accident by Strong and Phillips fire departments.
