LEWISTON — “The Dream Team,” a group of staff, volunteers, family and friends of Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice who raise money annually for the agency’s hospice program, invite the community to join them at The Atrium at Bates Mill, 36 Chestnut St., from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, for their annual “Soup, Chili, and Chowder Challenge.”
Would-be chefs from across the organization and community serve their best recipes for sampling, with the cooks two reigning supreme taking home prizes for “People’s Choice” and “Judge’s Favorite.” Those serving as judges for the competition include Kevin Simoneau, of the Fortin Group, Cathy McDonald, longtime Androscoggin volunteer and 2018 Miss Maine Olivia Mayo. Live musical entertainment is provided by Dream Runner.
Tickets are $10 in advance for adults or $12 at the door. Kids are $5 in advance or $6 at the door, and children under 4 are free. Tickets can be purchased at Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice’s Lewiston office at 15 Strawberry Ave., the Hospice House on Stetson Road in Auburn. All proceeds raised support The Dream Team’s fundraising efforts towards Androscoggin’s Hospice House 5K & Remembrance Walk.
