A public concert concludes a daylong Digital Music Symposium at Bates College with Hiroya Miura, a composer and associate professor of music at Bates College, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26. Emerging composers present works created with handmade instruments, systems using bodily sensations and motions to interact with the computer, and a live interactive video game for musicians. The show will be held at the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, 75 Russell St., Lewiston. A talk precedes the concert at 7 p.m. The event is free, but tickets are required.
