The deadline for entering the 2018 photo contest by the Oxford County Soil & Water Conservation District is Oct. 31. The contest is open to all ages. The district is looking for the best conservation photo in the category of agriculture, forestry, soil and water or wildlife for the cover of our 2018 Annual Report. The winner will receive gift certificates and items from Aubuchon Hardware, Paris Farmers Union and Young’s Greenhouse. Three honorable mentions will also be selected. Pictured is one of the honorable mentions of 2017, “Freshly Hatched Mushroom” by Sarah Gaines of Stoneham. All photos will be on display at the annual district meeting in December.
