The team wore T-shirts before the game with the names of people they know who have been affected by cancer. First-year head coach Kim Joler and assistant coach Elaine Derosby thought the fundraiser would be a good way to support their mutual friend and ELHS graduate Michelle Lemieux, who is battling metastatic breast cancer. “We Play For Michelle Lemieux” was on the back of Joler’s T-shirt throughout the game.
