LEWISTON — Maine Event Comedy presents Colby Bradshaw at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Baxter Brewing.

He’ll be joined by Jed Bloom, Julie Poulin and host Mark Turcotte.

Bradshaw’s charm and deadpan delivery have been on display at New York City’s The Stand and Gotham Comedy Club. He took first place at Empire’s Comedy Winter Classic in Portland and opened for nationally touring comedians Jay Mohr and Juston McKinney. Bradshaw recently made his television debut on “The Nite Show” with Danny Cashman, which is broadcast over five networks throughout Maine.

Bloom, a regular in the Portland scene, was a finalist at Empire’s Comedy Summer Classic in Portland. His goal as a comedian is to not get fired from his day job as a teacher.

A few months into her stand-up career, Poulin is performing like a seasoned professional. She’s part of the Mainely Improv troupe and entertains regularly with Mystery for Hire dinner theater.

Turcotte has performed in nine states and was selected for the Boston, Cleveland and North Carolina comedy festivals.

The show is free and for ages 21 and older.
