TURNER — SAD 52 Adult Education courses for October are announced.

Wellness: Ballroom Dance, Oct. 1; Latin Dance, Oct. 1; Piloxing, Oct. 1; Middle Eastern Dance, Oct. 2; Zumba, Oct. 3.

Arts and Crafts: Acrylic Painting, Oct. 2; Felting Fun, Oct. 4; Create Your Own Pottery (Session 1), Oct. 4; Pottery Paint Night (family tree), Oct. 16.

For the Community: What a Great Dog! Oct. 2; Clean Up Your Credit, Oct. 2; Budgeting Basics, Oct. 4; Understanding Medicare, Oct. 4; Preserving the Harvest, Oct. 9; Notary Certification, Oct. 16.

College Transitions: The college transitions courses were developed in response to the need for college preparedness classes and as a bridge program leading to college. The classes are designed for high school graduates or high school equivalency certificate recipients who intend to apply to post-secondary institutions. Courses are offered each semester. Registration is free. Students pay for books and lab fees.

Classes will meet at Leavitt Area High School, after school, two days a week or two evenings at the SAD 52 Adult Education Learning Center. Due to the rotating nature of the schedule, students can sign up at any time but they must complete 10 weeks of the program to earn a college credit.
