DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m writing to ask for help from anyone who has any information or photos to share of the former Main St. Diner on Main Street in Wilton. My grandmother, Hattie Sawtelle, ran it for years and other family members worked there as well. Any information from readers would be greatly appreciated. I’m willing to pay for any copies of photos or related articles. You can contact me at 207-754-2795. Thanks again, Sun Spots, for your help.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m writing in response to the Sept. 25 Sun Spots request for a massage therapist in the Lisbon-Lewiston area. I’m happy to recommend Carmen Maberry at Forget Me K’not at 78 Pease Hill Road in Monmouth. Her phone number is 207-268-2008.
Carmen is exceptional with all the services she provides, and if you go to her once, you will remain one of her clients forever!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In response to Sept. 20 Sun Spots, the best prime rib I have ever had is at Trail’s End Steakhouse and Tavern in Eustis. It is “melt-in-your-mouth delicious” and it’s worth the trip if you don’t live in the area. Sherrie serves it on Thursday evenings as a two-for-one deal and again on Saturday nights at the regular price.
Definitely make reservations if you are coming on a Thursday. The prime rib is a little secret, but lots of people know about it.
— Robin, no town
ANSWER: What a great excuse to drive to Eustis! A leaf-peeping expedition and a delicious meal sound perfect to me. Just keep your eye out for deer and moose while you’re on the road.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have an old Ken doll that belonged to my daughter and I want to give it to my granddaughter. I bought outfits for the doll at Walmart and another store, but they are too small. This older Ken doll is a little larger. Does anyone know where I can get clothes that fit?
— No name, no town
ANSWER: You may want to try thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets and eBay. If you use a computer, there are fabulous online yard sale sites where you could advertise that you are attempting to fill Ken’s clothes closet.
Another idea would be to design and sew Ken his own original wardrobe. When I was a youngster, my very clever mother was quite handy at making clothes for our Barbie and Ken dolls. They were quite stylish in their original ensembles! We certainly can’t have him wearing the same thing every day or worse yet, running around naked so if anyone in Sun Spots land has some Ken clothes from the last generation tucked away in the attic, let us know. Winter is coming and Ken needs to be clothed!
DEAR SUN SPOTS: Could you find out what kind of hot dogs are sold at Taber’s and where we might buy them? Thanks!
— No name, no town
ANSWER: Unfortunately, Taber’s is closed for the season. Perhaps someone who has worked in the restaurant there or a regular customer with inside information will see this and respond!
