NORWAY — The Norway Country Club hosted the Fifth Annual Drive Out Cancer Golf Tournament organized by the Ladies Golf Association to benefit the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine on Aug. 16.

Forty players participated in the 18-hole scramble. Members of the community and area businesses donated money to sponsor the tournament or a golf hole, while others donated items and gift certificates for the silent auction and raffle table. The more than $8,000 in proceeds will be donated to the center in September.

The Cancer Resource Center is at 199 Main St. in the Stephens Memorial Hospital Specialty Clinic building. For more information go to crcofwm.org, or on Facebook or call 207-890-0329.
