ELLSWORTH — With great sadness, we are announcing the unexpected passing of Patricia Anne Cyr Langlais on Monday, Aug. 6, at her home in Ellsworth.
She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 9, 1955, the daughter of Edward and Jeannine (Vincent) Cyr.
Patty graduated from Lewiston High School in 1973, and married her high school sweetheart, Daniel C. Langlais, on March 15, 1974. She was his beloved wife for 44 years, and together they raised their two daughters.
She became a Eucharistic minister at Sacred Heart Parish in Auburn, and supported the Lord by sharing his words as a Catholic Catechism Development teacher.
Known to family and friends as Aunt Pat, she opened her heart and home to anyone in need. She carried her empathy for others into her work at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth. She had a love for music, spending time with her children, grandchildren and their two dogs Abby and Tucker in any way she could. Patty’s overwhelming support and kindness to all who knew her will never be forgotten. She captured every moment she could with pictures.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel, of Ellsworth; her daughters Jessica Girouard and her husband, Tony, of Lewiston, and Tammy LePage of Lamoine; her mother, Jeannine Cyr, of Lewiston; siblings Daniel Cyr and his spouse, Stephen Bissonette; Cathleen Paquette and her husband, Dean; Janet Cyr and her spouse, Caroline Cote; and Jeanne Cyr and her spouse, Marie Lemieux; her grandchildren, the pride and joy of her life: Lillian, Alexis, Nathaniel, Julie, Kaelynn and Trinity. She will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family and friends.
Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at www.lynchbrothers.com.
