AUBURN — Claire T. Mathieu Morin passed away Wednesday, July 18, at the Hospice House in Auburn.

Claire was born in Lewiston on April 7, 1944, the daughter of the late L. Vincent and Delice Rioux Mathieu. She lived in Lewiston all her life. Claire married Richard Morin on May 2, 1964, at Ste. Croix Church. She worked at Central Maine Community Credit Union for 23 years. Claire enjoyed knitting, shopping and walks at the ocean, and had a very special place in her heart for Orr’s Island.

Claire is survived by her spouse, Richard; two sons, Paul and his wife, Denise, and John; two grandchildren, Lee Morin and wife, Dayle, and Kim Morin; and a special niece, Michelle Blouin Fraser and family, of Candia, N.H.

Claire was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Lorraine.
