LISBON — A roast turkey dinner will be held Friday, July 13, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Masonic Hall on Oak Street.

Cost, by donation, is $8 for adults, children 12 and under, $4; free for preschool age. The supper is sponsored by Pioneer Chapter No. 11, OES.

LISBON — The Lisbon United Methodist Church will sell freshly made lobster and crab meat rolls at the annual Moxie Days Festival Friday and Saturday, July 13 and 14, at 14 School St.

New this year, the lobster and crab rolls can be purchased Friday night from 6 to 7 p.m. in time for the fireworks.

After the parade on Saturday, the crew at the church will be selling lobster and crab rolls, plus hamburgers, hot dogs, baked goods, Moxie and more. The church will also have a yard sale and sign-ups for its American Red Cross blood drive to be held Aug. 8 at the church.

CHESTERVILLE — The North Chesterville Homemakers Extention will hold a benefit supper for Gary Welch and his 11-year-old daughter Tiffany Gerrish, who lost their uninsured home to fire on June 14.

The supper will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at the Chesterville Town Hall. There will be a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle and door prizes.

Donations may also be mailed to the Chesterville Town Office or the Chesterville Corner Store.

DURHAM — Acacia Masonic Lodge will serve a bean supper with homemade pies for dessert from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 14, on Route 136 across from River Park.

Prices are $8 for adults, $3 children ages 5 to 12 and free for children younger than 5.

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Falls Fire Company Inc. maintains Philbrick Park and currently has two ball teams known as the Hawks Majors and Minors. In order to accomplish the conditions to keep the field, the fire company puts on a huge lawn sale and chicken barbecue each year. The money earned goes directly to the maintenance of the field and ball teams.

This year, the Farmington Falls Fire Co. has set the date for Saturday, July 14. The yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. down on the field. The chicken barbecue will be cooked by Bob Gramlich and will begin at noon.

Live entertainment will be under the pavilion and provided by Dona Whittemore, Zale Lochale and Roland Bean.

LIVERMORE FALLS — Starting the second Saturday in July, Emmanuel Assembly of God will offer food and fellowship during its free barbecue lunches on the second Saturday of each month through September. 

These meals will take place outdoors, weather permitting, across the street from the American Legion building on Reynolds Avenue.

The event is open to the public.

NORWAY — Norway Museum and Historical Society will transform its meeting room into the Marigold Tea Room during the Norway Music and Arts Festival Saturday, July 14, at 471 Main St.

The annual fundraiser will have a large selection of homemade pies which can be topped with ice cream.

Comfortable chairs, interesting displays and a clean restroom make it a friendly place to sit down and eat a slice whether it is chocolate, lemon meringue, apple, strawberry, blueberry or another.

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Baptist Church serves free fellowship luncheons at noon on the third Sunday of the month at 194 Whittier Road.

OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Community Lunch with ham will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, in the community hall, 292 Route 121.

WATERFORD — The next Waterford Summer Breakfast will be from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at the Wilkins Community House at the foot of Plummer Hill Road, next to the Waterford Congregational Church.

Future breakfasts are Wednesdays, Aug. 1 and 15. The price is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 5 to 10, and free for children younger than 5.

The basement of the Wilkins House will be the site of indoor yard sales from 7:30 to 11 a.m. on breakfast dates. This is the last year for the yard sale.

Proceeds from the breakfasts help with the upkeep of the Wilkins Community House. Income from the yard sales goes to the maintenance funds for the Wilkins Community House and the Waterford Congregational Church.
