BRIDGTON December 5: Downtown Bridgton Winter Holiday Candlelight Stroll at 5:15 p.m. The community will gather at Pondicherry Square (near Rickey’s Diner) between 4:45 p.m. and 5 p.m. where there will be 2,000 candles to be distributed as folks arrive. Stroll along Main Street, over Methodist Hill, and into Post Office Square, arriving at Stevens Brook Park and the beautiful Main Street Winter Holiday Tree (across from the Bridgton Public Library) at 5:30 p.m. Sing joyful Holiday Songs and then the dramatic countdown to the Tree Lighting will begin. As the Main Street Winter Holiday Tree is illuminated, everyone will get up on the sidewalks to open the street for the grand Festival Of Lights Parade of holiday floats coming over Methodist Hill. SOUTH PARIS December 5: Santa visits the Paris Public Library Children’s Room, South Paris, from 1 to 3 p.m. All children are welcome to share their holiday wishes with Santa at the library.
