LEWISTON — The Trinity Jubilee Center, 53 Spruce St., is participating in the Summer Food Service Program.

The center’s services include a soup kitchen, food pantry, day shelter, medical clinic, assistance with job applications, community workshops, and support for people overcoming challenges.

Beginning Friday, June 22, the soup kitchen will serve a children’s breakfast from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Monday through Friday and a children’s lunch from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Monday through Saturday. Meals will continue until Tuesday, Aug. 28.

Free meals are provided to any child younger than 18 and meals will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. There will be weekly giveaways of toys or groceries.

The Summer Food Service Program will kick off with a week of classes led by Healthy Androscoggin. Nutrition workshops for adults and children will be held from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. Monday, June 25, through Friday, June 29, at the Jubilee Center and include cooking, games and giveaways.
