SACO — Dominico F. Spadea, 75, of Harbor Drive passed away Sunday, June 17, at the Seal Rock Healthcare facility.
He was born in Rumford on July 27, 1942, the son of Salvatore and Carmella Spadea. He attended local schools and graduated from Stevens High School in Rumford. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served from 1962 until 1966.
After his service to his country, he returned home and worked at the local mill in Rumford. He was later employed by Hood Dairy and as a bus driver for the Gorham School System.
Dominico enjoyed camping, fishing and the New England Patriots. His passion was spending time with his family and the love of his life, his wife of 53 years, Joan.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Webber Spadea, of Saco; three daughters: Tina Johnson and husband, Richard, of Windham; Lisa Spadea of Bowdoinham; and Tanya Watson and husband, James, of South Portland; a brother, Fred Spadea, of Rumford; a sister, Maria Gagnon, and partner, Paul Evans, of Gorham; six grandchildren: Marissa, Tyler, Jacob, Alexis, Gabriel and William.
